  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (133 g)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped apple pieces (100 g)
  • 1/2 cup toasted pecan pieces (53 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toast pecans in a small pan over medium heat until fragrant; set aside.
  3. Peel, core, and chop apples into small chunks.
  4. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar; add egg and mix until fluffy.
  5. Combine dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon) and mix just until blended.
  6. Fold in chopped apples and toasted pecans.
  7. Pour batter into a buttered or parchment-lined 8×8 baking dish; bake for 30-45 minutes or until golden brown.
