Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, dried oregano, and dried thyme. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each piece is well coated. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (preferably 2-4 hours).

  4. Remove the marinated chicken from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes. Arrange the chicken in the prepared baking dish and pour any remaining marinade over the top.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
