  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (non-alcoholic)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 8 slices crispy Turkey Bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour the BBQ sauce over the browned meatballs, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Slice sub rolls lengthwise and toast on a baking sheet in the oven for 5 minutes.
  7. Assemble the subs by placing meatballs in toasted rolls, topping with cheese and crispy turkey bacon.
  8. For extra melty cheese, return assembled subs to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes.
