  • Cheese tortellini
  • Chicken breast
  • Fresh broccoli
  • Heavy cream
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Garlic cloves
  • Butter
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook tortellini according to package directions until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Steam broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender; plunge into ice water to stop cooking.
  3. Season chicken cubes with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes, then set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat; add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (1 minute). Slowly whisk in heavy cream.
  5. Off the heat, gradually whisk in parmesan cheese until smooth. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if necessary.
