  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened for glaze
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened for glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract for glaze
  • 2 tbsp milk for glaze (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix in melted butter, egg, sugar, and salt. Gradually add flour to form dough and knead until smooth.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl; cover and let rise for about 60 minutes.
  4. For the filling, whip together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, strawberries, and strawberry jam.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread cheesecake filling over it.
  6. Top with cinnamon-sugar mixture; roll tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
  7. Arrange in a greased baking dish; let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating oven to 350°F.
  8. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. For glaze, mix softened cream cheese with butter and powdered sugar; drizzle over warm rolls.
